As the World Creole Festival will celebrate 25 years, preparations are moving forward smoothly.
The World Creole Music Festival, first held in 1997, has grown into one of the Caribbean’s leading cultural events.
It celebrates Creole music in all its forms—zouk, bouyon, kompa, reggae, dancehall, soca, afrobeat, and more—while promoting regional unity and artistic innovation.
In keeping with the jubilee year, additional features will be added to give patrons an extra special experience.
This edition highlights a fusion of musical talent and cultural pride, showcasing performances by regional icons, local legends, and international stars over three nights. The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) stated that the emphasis will be on Creole identity and Caribbean musical excellence.
Ultra-VIP stations will feature massage and make-up sections.
Organizers are inviting residents from Antigua and Barbuda to participate in the October 24 to 26 mega event.
“Join us in Dominica. Our island of untamed beauty, vibrant beauty and Caribbean hospitality,” Discover Dominica Authority’s Caribbean Executive Marketing Director Makeera George said at the World Creole Festival Launch in Antigua on Wednesday.
It is arguably one of the biggest line-ups for the festival with over 40 artistes set to hit the stage.
Along with headliners Vybz Kartel, the Original Burning Flames will be performing as well.
The Burning Flames will perform on Night one of the three-day festival while the World Boss will take to the stage on Night 2.

This evening is dubbed ‘Fire & Foundation’.
Alongside the Burning Flames, TK International, Halibut, Nu Look, Steel Pulse, Gilles Fontaine, Midnight Groovers, Romain Virgo and Masicka will take to the stage.
Fast forward a day later to ‘Creole Carnival’, an energetic display of Creole expression and cross-Caribbean vibrancy.
