The Kiwanis Club of Antigua AR Fusion has stepped in to help the School for the Deaf stand out more prominently, donating new signage that will make the institution easier to identify.
The school, which operates alongside the TN Kirnon Primary, supports children with speech and hearing challenges under the motto “We focus on our abilities and not our disabilities.” Until now, its presence was not easily visible to the public.
AR Fusion President Rebekah Warner said the project was aimed at building awareness of the school’s vital work in preparing its students to communicate with the wider world. She added that the improved visibility could also encourage more people to take advantage of the sign language classes offered there.
The Parent Teachers Association President, Mrs. Francis, accepted the donation on behalf of the staff and students, thanking the club for what she described as an important contribution. She also expressed hope for continued collaboration with Kiwanis in the future.
The signs were produced and installed with support from Iprint, the club’s corporate partner in the initiative.
Also witnessing the handover was Adrian Boyce, outgoing Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis Barbados, who said the gesture was very much in line with the organization’s international mission of “Serving the children of the world.”

Awww that’s a very thoughtful gesture. Thank you on their behalf
Visibility and access matter well done to Kiwanis for putting inclusivity at the forefront
