Villa Primary
The rhythms of steel filled the air as students from across the nation came together for the highly anticipated Independence School Panorama, celebrating musical excellence and national pride through the art of steelpan.
After an evening of electrifying performances, Villa Primary School and Christ the King High School emerged as the overall winners in the Primary and Secondary categories, respectively.
In the Primary Division, Nelvie Gore Primary placed second runner-up, while Sunnyside Tutorial School captured first runner-up. But it was Villa Primary School that took centre stage, earning top marks from the judges with a vibrant and polished performance that drew loud cheers from the audience.
Over in the Secondary Division, the competition was equally fierce. Antigua Grammar School placed second runner-up, Princess Margaret School claimed first runner-up, and Christ the King High School took the crown with a captivating display of rhythm, energy, and precision.
The event, one of the highlights of Antigua and Barbuda’s Independence celebrations, once again showcased the incredible talent and discipline of young pannists across the island.
