The West Indies Oil Company Limited (WIOC) has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will now take place on November 27, 2025, after being postponed earlier this month due to adverse weather conditions brought on by Tropical Storm Jerry.
According to a company statement, the AGM will be held at the John E. St. Luce Finance and Conference Center on Factory Road, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Shareholders will have the option to attend in person, online, or via proxy.
WIOC explained that the decision to delay the meeting was made out of an abundance of caution after the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Office issued a storm watch during Jerry’s passage near the island.
While the rescheduling may have caused a brief disruption, company officials noted that it provided additional time to review and refine key governance documents, including the draft Bylaws that will be up for adoption at the meeting.
“We have taken the opportunity to incorporate valuable feedback received from shareholders on the draft Bylaws,” the company said. “Included with this circular is a set of recommended amendments, along with the text of the special resolution to adopt these Bylaws at the AGM.”
In preparation for the meeting, shareholders have been provided with several documents relevant to their participation and decision-making. WIOC has urged all investors to read the materials carefully to ensure informed contributions during the proceedings.
“These documents are essential for your participation in the meeting,” the company emphasized. “We look forward to a productive and engaging session as we continue to strengthen WIOC’s governance and strategic direction.”
The AGM will serve as a key opportunity for shareholders to discuss corporate developments, review financial performance, and vote on the updated governance framework as WIOC continues its growth as one of Antigua and Barbuda’s leading energy companies.

5. November 27 sounds reasonable. Always good when organizations stay organized and transparent.
Could this have been written in simpler language?
Hmm… another reschedule? Hope this time it actually happens.
