Suspect Taken into Custody Following Burglary Incident

Police have apprehended a 21-year-old man from Bathlodge in connection with a house breaking and larceny that took place around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Fort Road.

The homeowner reported that a knapsack containing school supplies and other items was stolen from his residence.

Officers from the Criminal Investigations Department conducted an investigation into the incident and subsequently recovered the stolen items near a local business.

The suspect was taken into custody at St. John’s Police Station, and the investigation is still ongoing. The Police encourage residents to secure their homes and report any suspicious activities by calling 911 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.
