Traffic Snarl at YMCA Roundabout After Two-Vehicle Collision

A minor traffic collision at the YMCA roundabout in St. John’s has caused temporary congestion this afternoon.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident involved a white Nissan Tiida and a black Honda CR-V, which made contact near the exit of the roundabout, partially blocking the flow of vehicles in both directions.

Police officers were quickly on the scene to assess the situation and direct traffic, as motorists experienced brief delays heading toward Independence Drive and the lower Market Street area.

There were no immediate reports of injury, but both vehicles sustained visible damage to their front ends.

Drivers are advised to proceed with caution in the area while authorities work to clear the roadway.
