Farmer confronts suspects after produce stolen near Potworks Dam

A farmer is thanking his quick instincts after he managed to recover a bag of produce allegedly stolen from his truck along the Potworks Dam main road on Wednesday, 12 November 2025.

The man told officers at the Parham Police Station that around 2:00 p.m. he encountered two unknown individuals, both dressed in black and carrying a knapsack filled with local produce.

When he approached them, the pair reportedly fled north, dropping the bag as they ran. The farmer retrieved the knapsack, which contained lemons, avocados and limes valued at approximately $500 EC, believed to have been taken from his vehicle earlier.

He provided descriptions of the suspects and indicated he would be able to identify them if seen again. Investigations are ongoing.
