A routine stop-and-search operation in the vicinity of Police Grounds has triggered a deeper investigation after officers intercepted a blue Honda Fit with what they described as “very dark tint.”

The driver reportedly presented a letter claiming permission to use a lower grade of tint, but officers deemed the document suspicious and escorted both the vehicle and the driver to Police Headquarters.

Traffic investigators have since interviewed several individuals and say they have obtained useful information as the probe continues.
