Two rising sailing stars to represent Antigua and Barbuda’s at Youth Sailing Championships

Rising sailing talents, Shanoy Malone and Emily Gaillard will represent the nation at the 2025 Youth Sailing World Championships.

The event, held in the ILCA 6 one-person dinghy male and female divisions, takes place in Portugal from December 12 to December.

Antigua has long been celebrated for its rich heritage and competitive sailing culture. The 2025 Youth World Championships mark a significant milestone as the country continues to invest in youth development, training, and international exposure.

The participation of two promising sailors signals a bright horizon for Antigua’s performance on the world stage.

Both athletes have benefited from Antigua Yacht Club grassroots sailing programs, local regattas, and World Sailing Emerging Nations Program.

Their selection reflects not only personal talent but also the Antigua and Barbuda Sailing Association ongoing commitment to nurture young talent through international competition.
