Traffic police are investigating a motor vehicle accident on Friars Hill Road after a Suzuki Ignis reportedly veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree near the ABS area.
The incident occurred earlier today and resulted in significant damage to the front of the vehicle, registration number 22015. The driver, who was the sole occupant, escaped injury and did not require medical treatment.
Police said preliminary information suggests the vehicle left the road before colliding with the pole. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, though according to reports, a truck struck the vehicle and caused it to veer off the road.
This incident marks the second time in just over a month that a vehicle has crashed in the same area along Friars Hill Road.
