Police intervened swiftly after a small retail theft at a neighbourhood superette in Cooks Extension, in the early afternoon. A male customer reportedly entered the business and removed a jar of hair perm valued at EC$15 without paying.

The incident was reported shortly after it occurred, and officers responded promptly. The alleged offender was intercepted, and the stolen item was recovered intact. Several individuals in the area were interviewed as part of the preliminary investigation.

The suspect and the item were taken to a nearby police station for further processing as inquiries continue.
