Concrete Pouring Begins on Main Road in Jennings Extension
The Ministry of Works has officially commenced concrete pouring on the main road in Jennings Extension, marking a major milestone in ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure within the community.
Officials say the project aims to enhance access, safety, and long-term durability for residents and road users.
Beyond resurfacing, the works also incorporate critical drainage improvements designed to better manage heavy rainfall, reduce the risk of flooding, and strengthen the road’s overall resilience.
The ministry notes that addressing drainage concerns is a key component of the project, ensuring the roadway can withstand changing weather conditions and prolonged use without rapid deterioration.
Residents are expected to benefit from smoother travel, improved stormwater management, and reduced maintenance issues once the project is completed.
The initiative is part of broader national efforts to build sustainable, practical, and responsive infrastructure that addresses the real conditions communities face across Antigua and Barbuda.
