Police are investigating a traffic crash on Friars Hill Road that left a female motorist shaken after her vehicle veered off the roadway and into a ditch along the busy thoroughfare.
Video footage circulating online shows the woman still seated behind the wheel of her blue Toyota Vitz, which had come to rest in the ditch on the side of the road. The incident drew the attention of passing motorists, many of whom slowed or stopped briefly, reacting with shock and curiosity at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are not immediately clear, and it remains uncertain what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. Police have since launched an investigation to determine the sequence of events leading up to the incident.
