Jermaine Nicholas

A 24-year-old man from All Saints is behind bars after being charged with the murder of a fellow community member, with the courts unable to offer him any path to freedom while the case proceeds.

Jermaine Nicholas, of All Saints, faced a magistrate this morning in connection with the stabbing death of Jahmarley Pierre, 29. As murder falls outside the jurisdiction of magistrates to grant bail, Nicholas was remanded in custody. His matter returns to court on June 3 for committal proceedings.

Pierre lost his life on the afternoon of March 25th after being stabbed near the All Saints traffic lights, following a confrontation with another male. Emergency responders transported him to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was pronounced dead.
