Teneshia Warren, the mother of a teenage boy who has been fleeing treatment, continues to search for him around the island.

Tejornie Mannix, who started displaying mental health issues, was taken to the hospital on Tuesday last week but fled the medical center. He was recaptured by the police and readmitted to the hospital, but fled again on Thursday.

His mother, Teneshia, says her son remains in a vulnerable state and is possibly disoriented, completely out of character.

“He wasn’t born with a mental issue. He started displaying this recently. We still haven’t found him,” Warren said. “I’m begging anyone who sees him to please reach out. He needs help.”

There are also continued concerns about visible bruises on his body, adding to fears that he may be at risk of harm while on his own.

Teneshia is urging members of the public to approach with caution and compassion, noting that her son’s condition may cause him to react unpredictably.

She warned that misinterpreting his behavior could lead to dangerous situations.

“I just want him safe,” she said. “Please, if you see him, don’t chase him—call me right away.”
