Long Lines at the nation’s gas stations
Motorists across Antigua and Barbuda formed long lines at gas stations on Sunday as the nation geared up for a massive island-wide motorcade expected to draw thousands of supporters ahead of the April 30 general election. And the ABLP is footing the bill according to sources.
From early morning, vehicles queued along major roads leading into service stations, with some drivers reporting wait times of over an hour as they rushed to fill their tanks in preparation for the highly anticipated ABLP’s “megacade.”
The surge in demand created congestion in several communities, with traffic slowing in and around busy commercial areas as motorists jockeyed for position. Some stations temporarily ran low on certain fuel grades, further adding to delays.
The motorcade, being organized as a major political show of strength, is expected to traverse multiple constituencies, with organisers encouraging widespread participation from supporters travelling in private vehicles, buses, and trucks.
Drivers at the pumps said the rush was driven not only by participation in the event but also by a desire to avoid potential shortages later in the day.
Gas station attendants worked steadily to manage the increased demand, while in some locations, traffic management measures were put in place to maintain order and ensure safety.

My neighbur filled up their three vehicles in the yard. None of them will be attending the motorcade.
I have gas for a few weeks but i wont be in that line
Hope the government can pay the gas stations after all this gasoline drama
