The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) says its island-wide “Megacade” on Sunday was a resounding success, drawing what it described as record-breaking participation from supporters across multiple constituencies.
Organisers reported a massive turnout, with a long line of vehicles stretching across key roadways, as supporters decked in red moved through communities in a high-energy display of party support ahead of the April 30 general election.
The motorcade made its way through several major what supporters described as a near continuous stream of vehicles “like peas.”
ABLP representatives said the event demonstrated strong national backing and momentum heading into the final days of the campaign.
Throughout the route, residents were seen waving flags, cheering from the sidelines, and joining the procession as it passed through their communities.
The party described the Megacade as one of the largest political mobilisations in recent memory, pointing to the scale, energy, and coordination as evidence of a well-organised campaign push.
With Election Day fast approaching, ABLP is urging supporters to turn out early on April 30, as the party seeks to translate Sunday’s visible support into votes at the polls.
