A 32-year-old man from Grays Farm has been charged in connection with a shooting incident that occurred along Queen Elizabeth Highway in Antigua and Barbuda.

Police have identified the accused as Coteen Francis, who now faces multiple serious charges, including shooting with intent to murder, discharging a firearm in a public place, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.

According to the Royal Police Force, the incident took place shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26. Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting have not yet been fully disclosed.

Francis is expected to appear before the court at the next available sitting.

Authorities are continuing their investigations and are appealing to members of the public who may have information related to the incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or reach out anonymously through Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
