Grenada PM Congratulates PM Browne on Historic Fourth Term Victory

Prime Minister of Grenada Dickon Mitchell has extended warm congratulations to Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne following his re-election to a fourth consecutive term in office after the general elections held on April 30.

In a formal statement, Mitchell described Browne’s electoral success as a clear endorsement of his leadership by the people of Antigua and Barbuda. He expressed confidence that the country will continue to experience stability and progress under the renewed mandate.

The Grenadian Prime Minister also underscored the importance of continued cooperation between the two Caribbean nations, reaffirming his government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties within the frameworks of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

Mitchell noted that both countries share a long history of collaboration on regional issues, including economic development, climate resilience, and regional integration. He said Grenada looks forward to deepening that partnership in the years ahead.

Browne’s re-election marks a significant political milestone, extending his leadership and maintaining continuity in Antigua and Barbuda’s governance as the country navigates ongoing economic and regional challenges.
