Health Officials Monitoring Ebola Outbreaks In Africa
Health officials in Antigua and Barbuda say they are closely monitoring Ebola outbreaks affecting parts of Central and East Africa, even as they reassure the public that there are currently no suspected cases locally.
Speaking during Friday’s press conference, Health Minister Michael Joseph said the ministry has already intensified national preparedness and surveillance measures following alerts issued by the World Health Organization.
Officials confirmed that existing Ebola preparedness protocols are being reviewed and updated, including procedures relating to surveillance, infection prevention, case management and the safe handling of human remains.
The ministry also said preparations are underway to ensure the country’s infectious disease facilities remain ready should isolation or specialized care become necessary.
Authorities are encouraging residents to continue practicing good hygiene and to seek medical attention if they experience fever or illness after international travel.

We need to delay the coming of that plane . The ear peace one.
I really hope things stay that way with no cases
