A police officer was seriously injured on Monday after a collision involving a police motorcycle and a motor vehicle along Factory Road, near Tranquility Park Cemetery.

The officer was reportedly on duty when the incident occurred. Preliminary information suggests that the motorcycle was struck by a vehicle, throwing the officer from the bike and leaving him with significant injuries.

Emergency personnel and fellow officers responded swiftly to the scene, where the injured officer received initial medical attention before being transported by ambulance to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for further treatment.
