
Police are investigating an assault on a supermarket owner who was reportedly attacked with an iron pipe during an altercation at his business in Wilkinson’s Cross.
The incident is said to have occurred in the early hours of Friday, June 5, when an unknown man entered the supermarket and began behaving aggressively.
According to Observer, the owner confronted the man and asked him to leave the premises. The situation allegedly escalated, and the suspect struck the businessman across the jaw with a piece of iron pipe before fleeing the scene.
The injured man later reported the matter to police.
Officers responded and conducted searches in the surrounding area in an effort to locate the suspect, but no arrest was made.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
