Ms Tomlinson.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 19-year-old Ms. Zowie Tomlinson of Parham, whose body was recovered from the waters at Devil’s Bridge on Sunday morning.

Preliminary reports indicate that the young woman allegedly jumped from Devil’s Bridge into the sea sometime late Saturday night.

Following reports of the incident, police officers, along with members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard, responded and launched an extensive search operation by land and sea.

However, due to challenging conditions and other operational factors, the search was temporarily suspended overnight.

The operation resumed early Sunday morning, and Coast Guard personnel subsequently recovered Ms. Tomlinson’s body from the water and transported it ashore.

Police investigators remained at the scene on Sunday conducting further inquiries into the incident.

The Police Administration has extended sincere condolences to the family, relatives, and friends of Ms. Tomlinson during this difficult time and has appealed for privacy to be respected as investigations continue.

  2. I’m sure she was thrown, and didn’t jump. This is just too weird. Also interested to know if she was dead before she hit the water. Who reported the incident? That person needs to be seriously questioned.
