Two men are in police custody following the execution of search warrants at separate properties in Hatton as investigators continue probing reports of suspected jewellery theft.

The operation was conducted around 5:45 a.m. on Monday, June 22, by officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Task Force and the Special Services Unit (SSU).

According to police, the coordinated searches resulted in the discovery and seizure of a quantity of jewellery, a mobile phone, and several other items believed to be connected to the investigation.

The two men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property and are assisting investigators with their inquiries.

Police have not released the identities of the suspects, and no charges have been announced at this time.
