
Denushka H. Gibbs of Minoah Magnet Academy has emerged as Antigua and Barbuda’s top-performing student in the 2026 Grade Six National Assessment (G6NA), earning the highest overall score of 383 out of a possible 400 marks.
The results, announced Friday morning, placed Marlensky J. Salien of Antigua Baptist Academy in second place with an impressive score of 382. Salien also earned the distinction of being the nation’s top male candidate.

Necasia B. Ralph of J.T. Ambrose Primary School secured third place overall with 377 marks, making her the highest-ranked student from a government primary school in this year’s examination.

The announcement was made during a live broadcast on ABS Television by Director of Education Clare Browne and Acting Assistant Director of Education Jewelle Hurst, who congratulated the students on their achievements.
This year’s Grade Six National Assessment was written by 1,284 students across Antigua and Barbuda. Of that total, 588 were females and 696 were males, meaning boys accounted for 54 per cent of the candidates.
