
Browne Praises Humanitarian Work During Meeting with ‘Caring For Others’ Founder
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has met with the founder of international humanitarian organisation Caring For Others, Inc., commending its efforts to improve the lives of vulnerable people around the world.
The courtesy meeting with Dr. Eslene Richmond-Shockley, the organisation’s President, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, took place on the margins of the CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Caring For Others, Inc. is an international human services organisation dedicated to combating poverty through programmes that provide food, clothing, education and housing assistance to individuals and families in need.
During the meeting, Browne acknowledged the impact of the organisation’s work and praised Dr. Richmond-Shockley for her commitment to humanitarian service.
He congratulated her on the achievements of Caring For Others, Inc. and expressed his hope that the organisation would continue expanding its reach and delivering support to communities in need.
The meeting was one of several bilateral and courtesy engagements undertaken by the Prime Minister while attending the regional summit, where Caribbean leaders are also addressing key issues including regional cooperation, food and energy security, and the evolving global geopolitical landscape.
