
Corporal Merchant D. of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) has successfully completed the prestigious Platoon Sergeant Course in Guyana, further strengthening the Force’s commitment to developing capable and effective military leaders.
The intensive regional training programme concluded with the graduation of 41 military personnel from across the Caribbean, each having successfully met the demanding leadership, tactical and professional standards required of platoon sergeants.
Corporal Merchant’s achievement reflects the ABDF’s continued investment in the professional development of its officers and enlisted personnel, ensuring members are equipped with the leadership skills, operational knowledge and practical experience necessary to effectively carry out their duties.
The successful completion of the course marks another milestone in Corporal Merchant’s military career and positions him to assume greater leadership responsibilities within the Defence Force.
