A mother is offering a $500 cash reward for information leading to the identification of the man she says attacked her 12-year-old daughter and stole her gold chain in Golden Grove Extension on Thursday afternoon.
The alleged incident occurred at about 2 p.m. as the child was walking to a nearby supermarket. According to the mother, the man pinned the girl against a fence before stealing her 18-karat gold double-plated necklace, which bears the nameplate “YALISSA.”
The mother said the attack left her daughter with visible injuries and emotional trauma.
In an update shared on social media, she said the child’s neck was choked and scraped during the ordeal, leaving it swollen and causing her significant distress.

Jasmine and Food4thought. People should be able to walk the roads without fear! Bible spoke about it. What we need is better policing. For people to see people things and no it’s not to be taken from them. At 2 in the high afternoon, should never be a problem for a 12 year old to walk to the shop. If it was night I would totally understand you. Now, if I bought my child her chain for her to wear, she should wear it all times, that’s why I bought it. Someone taking her chain doesn’t make sense. Time enough more is done for us to enjoy our belongings in these places.
