A woman has alleged that a public bus driver attempted to abduct her after refusing to take her home and instead demanding sex.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday near the St. John’s Magistrate’s Court.
According to Observer Media, the woman approached the driver of a public bus and requested a ride home. However, instead of agreeing to take her to her destination, the driver allegedly refused and insisted that she have sexual intercourse with him.

It is further alleged that as she was getting out of the bus, the driver drove off before she had fully exited the moving vehicle, causing her to sustain a bleeding injury to her right foot.
The woman is said to have managed to escape and later reported the matter to the police.
Police are investigating the allegations. Up to the time of publication, authorities had not issued an official statement on the incident or confirmed whether any arrests had been made.
