A 30-year-old Old Parham Road man has been charged in connection with a major break-in at Sunny Limited on Long Street, where more than EC$103,000 worth of merchandise and equipment was allegedly stolen or damaged.

Police said Marcus Gilpin is accused of breaking into the business sometime between August 10 and 11, 2026, and stealing a substantial quantity of goods.

The reported haul included:

• 25 pairs of sneakers
• 50 pieces of assorted clothing
• Five suitcases
• 40 speakers
• 50 school bags
• 36 pairs of socks
• 25 pairs of short jeans
• 50 pairs of long jeans
• 30 pairs of adult slippers
• 15 pairs of children’s slippers
• 10 travelling bags
• 20 solar lights

Boxers, radios, children’s personal-care products, a washing machine, refrigerator, card machine and two digital video recorder systems were also reportedly stolen.

Gilpin is further accused of maliciously damaging the business’s surveillance-camera system, which was valued at approximately EC$50,000.

According to police, the stolen and damaged property has a combined estimated value of EC$103,201.

Gilpin has been formally charged with breaking and larceny and malicious damage. He is expected to appear before the court on Monday, September 14.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is urging business owners and members of the public to report suspicious activity and share information that could assist ongoing criminal investigations.

The Police Administration also thanked the public for its continued cooperation and support in the fight against crime.
