Drivers filling up at Friars Hill Service Station will no longer be able to pay for fuel with a credit card, following a decision by the company that takes effect immediately.

In a notice to customers, the service station said the move was necessary because of the significant processing charges associated with credit-card transactions, which have put additional pressure on its regulated operating margins.

Customers will therefore need to use alternative payment methods when purchasing fuel at the station.

Friars Hill Service Station said it remains committed to providing reliable service and high-quality petroleum products despite the change.
