Antigua and Barbuda has officially entered the race to host the 2027 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Finals, with Prime Minister Gaston Browne confirming to Antigua.News that the country has formally submitted its bid.

“We submitted a formal bid to host CPL finals 2027,” Browne told Antigua.News.

The confirmation comes just days after the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons made history by winning the 2026 CPL title, adding fresh momentum to the island’s push to bring the league’s championship stage to home soil.

The government had previously expressed interest in hosting the CPL Finals, but Browne’s confirmation marks a significant step forward, with the bid now formally submitted for consideration.

Hosting the finals would bring the CPL’s biggest matches to Antigua and Barbuda, following a historic season for the Falcons and a championship victory that has generated widespread excitement across the country.

The CPL is yet to announce where the 2027 Finals will be staged.
