Twenty-year-old Jaquan Shaw has been remanded to prison in connection with the deadly Bathlodge shooting that claimed the life of pregnant mother Saquania Anthony and left two others injured.
Shaw appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Thursday morning, where he faced charges stemming from the late-night attack at a Bathlodge residence.
He is charged with the murder of 20-year-old Anthony, along with shooting with intent to murder 24-year-old Kelvin Samuel and 13-year-old Joshua Meade.
According to police, the three victims were inside a Bathlodge home on Monday night when three masked intruders forced their way inside and opened fire.
Anthony died as a result of the shooting, while Samuel and Meade sustained injuries.
Shaw is scheduled to return to court on November 25 for his first committal hearing.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing.
