Sir Rodney Receives Signed Copy of Robinson’s Book on Caribbean Survival
Professor C. Justin Robinson presents his collection of essays on power and sovereignty during a launch at Jasmine Court.
Governor General Sir Rodney Williams has received a signed copy of Professor C. Justin Robinson’s book, No One is Coming to Save Us: Essays on Power, Sovereignty and Caribbean Survival, during its recent official launch.
The event took place at The Courtyard, Jasmine Court, on Friars Hill Road, bringing together guests for an evening highlighting Robinson’s work and contribution to Caribbean scholarship.
Sir Rodney congratulated the professor on the publication and recognised his contribution to regional discussions on sovereignty, development and the Caribbean’s future.
The book brings together essays examining power, sovereignty and Caribbean survival—subjects central to the region’s continuing debate about its development and place in the world.
The evening’s programme included remarks on Robinson and his work, followed by an address from the author. Signed copies of the book were also presented.
Chez Blanche-Tonge and Amarni Gomes provided entertainment for the guests.
