Truck Slams Into Perimeter Wall of Prime Minister’s Residence
Prime Minister Gaston Browne was at home when the early-morning crash shattered the quiet and prompted an emergency response.

Residents near the Prime Minister’s residence were jolted awake early Wednesday when a blue KIA K2700 truck slammed into the property’s perimeter wall, leaving the driver trapped inside the vehicle.
The crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m., triggering a response from the Emergency Medical Services, Fire Service and police.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne was reportedly at home at the time of the incident.
Emergency personnel had to cut the male driver from the wreckage before he could be removed from the vehicle and transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment.
The extent of his injuries was not immediately disclosed.
Police have also not released the driver’s identity or indicated what may have caused the truck to leave the roadway and crash into the wall.
The loud impact reportedly awakened people living nearby as emergency crews converged on the scene.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the early-morning crash are expected to continue.
