A dispute involving a bus driver and a passenger reportedly took a frightening turn on Saturday after the driver was accused of pulling a gun during the confrontation.
Video footage obtained by Antigua.News captures part of the incident, showing a bus stopped along a roadway as several people are seen in the immediate area. The person recording the video appears to be observing the confrontation from some distance away.
According to information accompanying the footage, the confrontation involved the driver of the bus and a passenger, with allegations that the driver produced a firearm during the dispute.
The video itself does not provide a sufficiently clear view to independently confirm that the object allegedly displayed was a firearm or establish exactly what led to the confrontation.
It is also unclear whether anyone was injured or whether a report was subsequently made to police.
Antigua.News has not independently confirmed the identities of those involved or the circumstances that reportedly triggered the dispute.
The incident has nevertheless raised concern, particularly given the allegation that a firearm may have been introduced into what began as a disagreement involving a public transportation operator and a passenger.
Further details will be provided as they become available.
