SLBMC Pharmacy Launches 24-Hour Service
The pharmacy is now open around the clock, accepting valid prescriptions from everyone, regardless of where they received care.
The Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC) has introduced round-the-clock pharmacy services, allowing members of the public to fill prescriptions at any time of the day or night.
The new operating hours took effect on October 4, with the pharmacy now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In a flyer announcing the change, SLBMC said the expanded service will accommodate patients discharged from the Emergency Room late at night, as well as anyone needing medication outside regular business hours.
“Whether you are being discharged from our Emergency Room late at night or simply need to fill a prescription outside regular business hours, we are here for you,” the announcement stated.
The service is available to everyone, and the pharmacy accepts all valid prescriptions, regardless of where patients received care.
The pharmacy is located on the medical centre’s second floor, near the reception desk.

This is a much-needed and welcome service for the community. Having access to a pharmacy 24/7 can make a significant difference, especially during late-night emergencies when medication is urgently needed. A great step toward making healthcare more accessible and convenient for everyone.
