Antigua and Barbuda has been ranked seventh in the Caribbean and Atlantic island category of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, according to an announcement from the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.

The results, announced on October 6, reflect readers’ assessments of their travel experiences.

More than 757,000 survey responses were submitted by readers across the United States for this year’s awards, covering destinations and travel experiences worldwide.

Tourism Authority Chief Executive Officer Colin C. James welcomed the recognition, saying it reflected both the destination’s appeal and the contribution of people working across the tourism industry.

“This recognition is a testament to the experiences that continue to draw travellers to our shores and to the people across our tourism industry who work tirelessly to make every visit memorable,” James said.

He added that while Antigua and Barbuda’s 365 beaches remain a major attraction, the destination offers a broader range of experiences through its history, culture, cuisine and natural landscapes.

The Tourism Authority highlighted Antigua’s sailing heritage, historic sites, culinary offerings and calendar of events, alongside Barbuda’s pink sand beaches and tranquil surroundings.

It also pointed to Nelson’s Dockyard and Barbuda’s coastline as attractions that showcase the distinct character of the twin-island destination.

The Readers’ Choice Awards recognise destinations and tourism experiences based on feedback from the publication’s readers.

The 2026 results are available on Condé Nast Traveler’s website and will also be featured in its November issue.
