The Ministry of Agriculture says work to build and reconstruct a major dam will increase water capacity and support greater agricultural production in Antigua and Barbuda.
Farmers Browne and Thwaites are among the latest beneficiaries of the initiative, which forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve agricultural infrastructure and support local farmers.
The works are intended to strengthen access to water for farming operations, helping beneficiaries meet their production needs.
The Ministry said the programme will continue across farming districts, with further attention to infrastructure needs and the support farmers require to increase output.
No location, completion timeline or capacity figures for the dam were provided in the update.
