Nicholas Leads APUA Delegation to Regional Water Conference
Discussions in Grenada focus on water security, climate resilience and sustainable utility services across the Caribbean.
Minister responsible for Utilities, the Honourable Melford Nicholas, is leading an Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) delegation to regional discussions on strengthening water security and improving water and wastewater management.
The delegation is attending the 35th Annual Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) Conference and Exhibition, being held in Grenada from October 12 to 16, 2026.
Nicholas is participating in high-level forums alongside regional policymakers, utility leaders and industry stakeholders to examine challenges affecting the sector and explore sustainable solutions.
Under the theme “One Caribbean, Transitioning to a Value-Driven Future,” the conference brings together participants to share knowledge, strengthen regional cooperation and consider approaches to building greater climate resilience.
For APUA, the gathering provides an opportunity to engage with regional partners on the delivery of reliable and sustainable water services in Antigua and Barbuda.
The authority’s participation reflects its continued involvement in regional efforts to strengthen utility services and address shared water management challenges.
