Work Progressing on New Five Islands Primary School
Education Minister Daryll Matthew visits the construction site for an update on the modern, climate-resilient school.
Construction of the new Five Islands Primary School is advancing, Education Minister Daryll Matthew has reported following a recent visit to the project site.
Matthew visited the site to receive an update on the work, describing the school as an important investment in Antigua and Barbuda’s education system.
“I am pleased to see the work advancing on this important investment in our education system,” he said.
The new school is being designed to provide students with a spacious, modern and climate-resilient learning environment, supporting their growth and development while being better equipped to withstand the effects of a changing climate.
Matthew said the project is intended to deliver a facility that serves both students and teachers over the long term.
“We look forward to seeing this project continue to take shape as we work towards providing our students and teachers with a facility that meets their needs for years to come,” he said.
The minister’s update did not specify a completion date or the percentage of construction completed.
