A proposed tourism campaign linked to Louis Tomlinson’s music and documentary project has outlined the potential for approximately £3.7 million in additional visitor spending over three years.

The estimate formed part of a presentation by Vertigo Live to Cabinet on October 14.

Organisers also presented an illustrative estimate of approximately £1.4 million in equivalent media exposure.

Cabinet explicitly noted that both figures were projections, rather than guaranteed financial returns.

The proposal includes a 12-month promotional programme featuring approximately 12 to 16 short-form social media videos, destination storytelling and fan engagement.

Its stated aim is to convert international exposure into travel interest and bookings for Antigua and Barbuda.

Possible cooperation with airlines, hotels, travel platforms and other tourism businesses would be explored. British Airways was identified as a potential participant in discussions, rather than a confirmed partner.

Cabinet supported further engagement on the initiative, but financial contributions and promotional commitments remain unresolved.

The report did not disclose the assumptions behind the spending projections, a proposed government contribution or the overall production budget.

Those details will be important in assessing the eventual cost and potential value of the partnership.
