Police are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating the parents or guardians of a female child who was found walking alone along Belmont Main Road.

The discovery has prompted an appeal from law enforcement officials, who are hoping that members of the public can provide information to help identify the child and reunite her with her family.

Details surrounding the circumstances in which the child was found have not been disclosed, including her age and how she came to be walking alone.

Authorities are urging anyone who may recognise the child or have information about her family to come forward immediately.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact Police Headquarters at 462-0125.

Members of the public are encouraged to share the appeal to assist police in locating the child's parents or guardians as quickly as possible.
