Chinese Partners Join Social Protection Board in Successful Food Distribution
Donated meals and hands-on support bring assistance to members of the public, with Operations Manager Emily Baltimore praising the partnership.
The Social Protection Board has praised Chinese partners for supporting a successful food distribution initiative, with team members donating meals and working alongside staff to serve the public.
Operations Manager Mary Baltimore described the response from beneficiaries as heartwarming, pointing to the smiles and appreciation of those who received meals.
“The initiative was a tremendous success. We were delighted to welcome members of the public who came out to receive a meal,” Baltimore said.
“What made the initiative even more special was the presence of the Chinese team, who not only donated the food but also came out and worked alongside us to distribute it to members of the public.”
Baltimore said the collaboration demonstrated how partnerships and community involvement can help the Board reach people from all walks of life, particularly vulnerable citizens.
“At the Social Protection Board, we believe that no one should be left behind, and every opportunity to serve, uplift, and support our people is one that we wholeheartedly embrace,” she said.
She also thanked the Chinese Ambassador and the participating team for their generosity and willingness to assist.
“Your contribution went beyond providing food; you helped us spread love, hope, and a sense of community,” Baltimore added.
The Board expressed hope that the partnership would lead to further initiatives supporting people across Antigua and Barbuda.
