CHOGM Security Measures Require Parade Attendees to Register for Free Stadium Shuttles
Attendees must park at designated locations and take a shuttle to Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on November 1, as security restrictions will prevent them from driving directly to the venue.

Security arrangements for the CHOGM ceremonial parade will prevent attendees from driving directly to Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on November 1, requiring them to park at designated locations and register for a free shuttle ticket.
Corporal Brendon Sutherland of the Traffic Department said organisers have established a park-and-ride system to transport attendees to the venue.
Motorists must park at the playing fields in Parham, Seaview Farm or Pigotts, where shuttle buses will take passengers to the stadium.
Each passenger must register through the TickeTing app to obtain a free ticket before boarding. Sutherland stressed that the ticket is mandatory and that no payment is required.
“It is free. Absolutely free. You don’t have to pay for it,” he said. “You just have to register and get the ticket.”
He warned that anyone without a ticket would not be allowed on a shuttle bus.
“You have to get a ticket in order to board the shuttle buses to go to the stadium. You will not be able to drive up to the stadium as you normally do,” Sutherland said.
Tickets will be assigned to different zones, meaning passengers may enter the stadium through different gates depending on their designated parking area.
Sutherland said the area surrounding the stadium will be under tight security and closed to regular vehicle traffic.
Comparing the arrangements to a security simulation conducted a few months ago, he said vehicle movement would be restricted throughout the area, with several checkpoints established between Factory Grounds and Parham Corner.
Only shuttle buses, escort vehicles and emergency vehicles will be permitted through the checkpoints.
Sutherland urged motorists to plan alternative routes for November 1.
