Liat Air Urges Passengers To Arrive Three Hours Early As CHOGM Security Could Disrupt Travel
The airline warns that enhanced security, official movements and possible road restrictions could affect airport access and flight schedules from November 1 to 4.

Passengers flying with Liat Air are being urged to arrive at V.C. Bird International Airport at least three hours before departure, as security arrangements for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting could disrupt travel.
The airline warned that enhanced security measures and official movements during CHOGM, scheduled for November 1 to 4, may affect flights and journeys to the airport.
In a public service announcement issued on October 27, Liat Air said passengers travelling to and from Antigua could experience delays to arrivals and departures. Increased traffic and possible road restrictions could also make it more difficult to reach the airport.
Travellers are being advised to allow extra time for their journey, travel light where possible and have their documents ready for check-in and security screening.
The airline also cautioned people meeting arriving passengers to prepare for possible changes to flight times, increased traffic and delays accessing the airport.
Liat Air said its teams were working closely with the airport and relevant authorities to keep flights operating on time. It thanked customers for their patience and cooperation as Antigua and Barbuda prepares to welcome Commonwealth leaders and delegates.
