Two people were rushed for medical attention on Wednesday following a serious-looking collision on Valley Road that left one vehicle overturned and another with extensive front-end damage.
The crash occurred downhill from the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS) Dr. Alister Francis Campus, formerly Antigua State College.
Among those transported to hospital is reportedly an elderly person. Despite the extent of the damage to the vehicles, the injuries sustained by both individuals are said to be non-life-threatening.
Images captured at the scene show one vehicle lying on its side near a roadside wall, while a silver minivan with significant damage to its front end remained positioned across a section of the roadway.
The overturned vehicle came to rest partially on the sidewalk, while the damaged minivan was left at an angle across the road.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear, including what led to the impact and caused one of the vehicles to overturn.
Further details surrounding the incident have not yet been made available.
