CHOGM Organisers Scrap Park-and-Ride System for November 1 and 2 Events
Patrons can now park near Sir Vivian Richards Stadium as organisers introduce revised parking arrangements, eliminating the need to use previously designated shuttle locations.

Thousands of patrons preparing to attend Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) events at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium will no longer have to rely on the previously announced park-and-ride system, following a major revision to parking arrangements for November 1 and 2.
Organisers have confirmed that the park-and-ride arrangements originally planned for the Parham, Pigotts and Sea View Farm Playing Fields have been scrapped, allowing motorists to park much closer to the venue.
Under the revised arrangements, patrons will be permitted to park in designated areas surrounding Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, including the Race Track and Jack Idle, before proceeding to designated security checkpoints.
The change represents a significant adjustment to the transportation and traffic management plans previously outlined for the two days of activities.
However, organisers have made it clear that parking restrictions will remain firmly in place.
Vehicles will not be permitted to park inside Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, while parking along main roads is strictly prohibited.
Motorists are being urged to use only designated parking areas and comply with instructions issued by security personnel and CHOGM officials to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
Patrons are also encouraged to arrive early to secure parking spaces and allow sufficient time to pass through security checkpoints before entering the venue.
The revised arrangements are expected to simplify access for attendees by removing the need to travel from the previously designated park-and-ride locations.
With Antigua and Barbuda preparing to welcome Commonwealth leaders, international delegations and thousands of spectators for the upcoming activities, organisers are encouraging the public to familiarise themselves with the updated arrangements and share the information to avoid confusion.
The new parking arrangements will apply to events scheduled for Sunday, November 1, and Monday, November 2, 2026.
