Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Dr Andrew Holness, has touched down in Antigua and Barbuda for the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), joining a growing list of world leaders making their way to the island for the high-level summit.

Holness was received by Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Michael Joseph, who greeted the Jamaican head of government upon his arrival.
His visit forms part of the international gathering taking place in St. John’s from November 1 to 4, bringing together leaders and representatives from across the Commonwealth to discuss issues affecting member states and explore opportunities for greater cooperation.

The summit is being held under the theme “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” placing emphasis on strengthening relationships, advancing investment and building a more prosperous future for the 56-member organisation.

Antigua and Barbuda’s hosting of the meeting represents a major moment for the country, as attention from across the international community turns to the island for four days of high-level discussions and diplomatic engagement.
