His Majesty King Charles III participated in the ceremonial coin toss ahead of the match, adding a royal touch as the teams prepared for friendly competition.

The event offered leaders an opportunity to connect beyond formal meetings, with cricket providing a shared language across countries with different cultures and experiences.

For host nation Antigua and Barbuda, staging the encounter at a stadium named after cricketing great Sir Vivian Richards placed the country’s sporting heritage at the centre of the occasion.

Beyond the competition, the showdown celebrated the relationships that bring Commonwealth countries together, reflecting the evening’s message: “One Commonwealth. One Team.”
